Central Oxford Osteopathy was founded by Principal Osteopath Jamie Dearing in 2011, creating a warm, welcoming clinic in the heart of historic Oxford. For our first five years Central Oxford Osteopathy was located at 11 Park End Street. We now occupy a convenient street front premises just around the corner at 15 Hollybush Row.
Jamie trained and initially practiced in London, before moving with his family to Oxford. Since then his practice has grown with the addition of Associate Osteopaths, and diversified by hosting a wider range of health professionals – from acupuncture practitioners to talking therapists.
Jamie is a friendly, award-winning osteopath based in central Oxford. He trained at the London School of Osteopathy (LSO), where he was awarded the senior management prize for all-round ability. He has since gone on to publish osteopathic research in academic journals, presented his work at conferences and is also involved in Osteopathic education as a Clinic Supervisor at the LSO.
Cliff trained at the British School of Osteopathy and is passionate about providing the best patient care. He likes to apply his curiosity and trouble shooting skills to identifying the source of his patients’ pain. By helping them understand the dysfunctions in their body, he empowers his patients to manage their own long term health.
Jenny’s treatments emphasise a holistic view of the individual and focus on relieving painful symptoms so patients can return to the activities they love as soon as possible. She places importance on empowering patients through education and self-care practices that are manageable and realistic to incorporate into their every day lives.
Rupert is committed to providing a holistic approach to treatment, incorporating a variety of gentle osteopathic techniques including massage, joint mobilization, spinal manipulation and stretching in order to reduce pain and improve mobility. With his background in yoga Rupert is also skilled in helping patients to manage their musculoskeletal problems through prescribed exercises.
